ABOUT GEHEN
Gehen Press is a Chicago-based online news publication that produces coverage on artistic and philosophical contemplations within indie, pop, and rock music internationally. Our site publishes articles weekly and daily, featuring a wide range of articles including editorials, reviews, interviews, tour information, and playlists.
The publication tiptoes around mainstream artists and has a rigorous selection process when curating website content. Known for our minimalistic design and user interface, we aim to create an atmosphere free of distractions by simplifying the sharing of information with visually appealing aesthetics. Our staff includes writers from various backgrounds, ranging from career professionals to academics to first time writers and interns.
Gehen Press covers numerous major festivals with a focus on attendees and common threads that tie a heterogeneous group of fans together. Frequent themes include fashion and apparel, body art, food, affection, young families, vendors, merchandise, and the female experience.
In April of 2019, we attended Back To The Beach festival in Huntington State Beach, California, a family friendly two-day concert produced by Travis Barker, John Feldmann, and Synergy Global Entertainment. Performances included blink-182, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, The Used, Save Ferris, The Wonder Years, The Aquabats, and The Story So Far.
Other previous coverage at festivals has included Warped Tour, Riot Fest, Pitchfork Music Festival, and Summerfest, along with a large number of tours.
