Top 14 Songs from This Year’s Back to the Beach Lineup
The second annual Back To The Beach will be returning to Huntington State Beach with ska and punk legends on April 27th and 28th, just shy of 70 days away. This year’s fest will feature blink-182, Goldfinger, The Used, Reel Big Fish, The Wonder Years, and many more performing in sunny Orange County.
Last year the festival attracted 30,000 fans to the Southern California festival, put together by Travis Barker of blink-182, John Feldmann of Goldfinger, and local radio station, KROQ. Feldmann talks about his anticipation for this year, explaining, "Back To The Beach has been one of the funnest things I've ever been part of. What could be better than a mostly ska festival?? I grew up on ska music and I had the best time of my life last year at the show… This year may even be better! Travis and I are so excited to do the show yet again… I cannot wait!"
We’ve sat down and put together a list of the top 14 tracks from artists playing the festival this year. Some are more recent, like The Story So Far’s “Quicksand,” with older classics like Save Ferris’ cover of “Come on Eileen” and Reel Big Fish’s “Take On Me.”
The lineup for each day is as follows:
Saturday, April 27: blink-182, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, The Aquabats, Save Ferris, The English Beat, and The Drowns
Sunday, April 28: The Used, The Story So Far, Anthony Green, The Wonder Years, Less Than Jake, Story Of The Year, Teenage Wrist, and Lowlives
Off the stage, there will be a carnival, variety of beach games, face painting, food, craft beer, and cocktails. Kids under 10 get in free when accompanied by an adult with paid admission, and they can play and explore in a designated area called the Lil' Punk Kid Zone.
