Next month, Jessica and Jennifer Clavin— the Los Angeles-based sisters that make up punk rock band Bleached— will head out on tour with Refused and The Hives, starting in Chicago at The Vic Theater on May 20th and ending in San Diego May 29th. Later in July, the duo is scheduled to play a special hometown show at Moroccan Lounge in LA.

Light and reminiscent of a bare demo track, Bleached have released their first new song in two years, titled “Shitty Ballet.” With minimal instrumentation and acoustic guitars, the intimate song carries a sunny, carefree disposition until the full band roars with distortion near the two minute and forty second mark.

"Bleached has always been a pretty loud rock band so we felt it was time to explore a more stripped-down style of playing,” explains Jennifer, about the new song. “With the vulnerability of the lyrics we decided to carry that into the instruments as well for the first time recording with just an acoustic guitar and vocals. Sonic change is important to us right now. More of that coming soon."

Additional shows are expected to get added for later this year. Be sure to check out the new video for “Shitty Ballet” and catch Bleached on their upcoming tour.
