Chicago Open Air Festival: Artists and Ticket Info
This coming May, Chicago Open Air will bring in large metal and hard rock acts such as System Of A Down, Tool, The Cult, Ghost, and Gojira to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL— a neighboring city right outside Chicago. Created by independent U.S. music festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents, it will follow similar lineups seen at Aftershock Festival, Epicenter Festival, Louder Than Life, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, and Welcome To Rockville.
The complete daily lineup is as follows:
Saturday, May 18th
System Of A Down, Ghost, Meshuggah, Beartooth, Code Orange, Knocked Loose, Vein
Sunday, May 19th
Tool, The Cult, Gojira, In This Moment, Fever 333, The Black Dahlia Murder, Alien Weaponry
Maria Brink, frontwoman of LA’s metal band In This Moment, says, "I can't even begin to express how excited we are to be playing Chicago Open Air Presents. We had such a blast last time! Tool, The Prodigy and System Of A Down, that's insane and such a powerful lineup. We feel blessed to be a part of it all. These are some of our all time favorite bands, I can't wait to see you all there with In This Moment."
Sadly, The Prodigy had to withdraw from all 2019 appearances after frontman Keith Flint’s death earlier this month. Flint was known for his fiery energy, wild hair, and frenzied performances on stage. Formed in the early 1990’s, The Prodigy have sold over 30 million records to date.
Doors for Chicago Open Air Festival open at 2:00 pm each day. Two day passes are currently $209.50. Pick up your tickets here and check out some of our favorite tracks from this year’s lineup.
