Many Rooms on Tour with Angelo De Augustine

Brianna Hunt, also known as artist Many Rooms, debuted her full-length album, There is a Presence Here, earlier this year on Other People Records, receiving praise from The New York Times, NPR, Stereogum, and Uproxx. Since then, she has toured relentlessly, and recently announced a multi-date U.S. tour with fellow folk artist, Angelo De Augustine.

The new release exhibits an ethereal, dream-like quality through dramatic moments and minimalistic techniques, steering clear of traditional song structures and fully capturing the tangible moods in the surrounding space. Full of self-confrontations, There is a Presence Here speaks to fostering hope in even the darkest moments, something that requires us to ask difficult questions in the journey to acceptance.

While recording in the studio, Hunt found herself with a sense of isolation and deep reflection, which comes through on the new record. She admits that she struggled with a detachment from herself and those most important to her on tour and after returning, which created a deteriorating bleakness and ache for relief. Through all this, Hunt created something extraordinarily powerful on the album, even at its most fragile, and it is clear it will become one of the many steps towards hope and healing.
